GEARMOTORS
A gearmotor combines a motor with a reduction gearbox to deliver motion at the output shaft. Ratio selection affects both speed and torque, but more reduction does not automatically mean the assembly can sustain the resulting load.
Our catalog includes planetary, round and flat DC gearmotor combinations. Begin with the speed and torque required at the driven mechanism, then consider the motor voltage and the space around the gearbox and shaft. The table's motor rated-point output figures are references; compare them with the gearbox's maximum continuous torque for the chosen configuration.
Before selecting a combination, check:
- Output speed under the intended load
- Continuous load and starting or shock loads
- Gear ratio, transmission losses and gearbox torque limit
- Motor supply, duty cycle and installation dimensions
Open a series to review its motor and ratio options. The complete assembly dimensions and performance should be verified for the selected configuration.
