BLDC Motors

Brushless motors eliminate brush wear in applications where service access and operating life matter. Explore BL16 to BL42 and their drive requirements.

BRUSHLESS DC MOTORS

When equipment runs for long periods or is difficult to service, brush wear can influence motor selection. Brushless DC motors use electronic commutation instead of brushes, removing that wear point. Bearing life, temperature and operating conditions still matter when assessing service life.

SGGEARBOX offers six BLDC motor series, from the 16 mm diameter BL16 to the 42 mm diameter BL42. The BL16 is a starting point where space is limited, while the BL42 provides higher rated torque within this range. Compare individual variants at the required voltage and working speed: the values shown for a series describe different motors, not one operating point.

When integrating a brushless motor, consider:

  • A compatible controller for electronic commutation
  • Controller voltage and current capability, including starting and acceleration
  • Motor wiring and any position-feedback requirements
  • Heat dissipation, duty cycle and available mounting space

If the mechanism needs more torque at a lower output speed, explore our gearmotor range and check the complete assembly's dimensions and rated output. For a simpler drive arrangement, compare our brushed DC motors, taking brush wear into account.
