What is a DC Motor?

A brushed DC motor is a motor that uses brushes and a commutator to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy. Because of the mature design of DC brush motors, low cost, and high cost performance, they are widely used in the field of micro drives.

Working Principle

The basic working principle of a DC motor is based on the interaction between a magnetic field and a current-carrying conductor, which generates a force. This force, as described by Fleming’s Left-Hand Rule, causes rotational motion.

How to select DC Motor ?

  • Installation Dimensions
  • Environmental conditions
  • working life
  • Control Method

SGMADA offers standardized DC brushed motors with voltage ranges from 3V to 48V and sizes from 16mm to 60mm. With SGMADA’s high-performance gearbox options, you can significantly expand the motor’s speed range or increase torque.

When selecting a DC brushed motor, installation size and shaft type are critical factors. Additionally, external operating conditions must be considered. If the working environment involves moisture, dust, or extreme temperatures.
